Position Summary:
At Your Marketing Co, we build websites that do more than just look good—they serve a purpose. We help credit unions connect with the next generation by creating digital experiences that are fast, functional, accessible, and strategic.
We’re looking for a Website Developer who can write clean, efficient code and think like a member. Someone who can lead development with confidence, mentor others, and build websites that not only perform—but convert.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Leadership & Mentorship:
Train, guide, and mentor a Website Developer Assistant to help grow their skills and support YMC’s web goals. -
Website Design & Development:
Build responsive, user-focused websites and web applications that look great and function flawlessly across all devices and browsers. -
Code Quality & Documentation:
Write clean, organized, and well-documented code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks to ensure maintainability and performance. -
Collaboration:
Partner with the creative team to bring UX/UI designs to life and ensure every element is intentional and on brand. -
SEO Implementation:
Bake SEO best practices into every build—from technical setup to on-page optimization—to improve visibility and search performance. -
Testing & Debugging:
Conduct detailed testing and troubleshooting to ensure top-notch functionality, performance, and error-free experiences. -
Site Optimization & Security:
Optimize page speed, implement caching strategies, and follow security protocols to keep sites safe, fast, and reliable. -
Accessibility Compliance:
Ensure all sites are fully accessible and ADA-compliant, meeting WCAG 2.2 standards to support an inclusive web experience. -
Ongoing Improvement:
Stay ahead of the curve with new tools, frameworks, and technologies—and bring those insights back to help us improve. -
Mission-Driven Quality:
Ensure every website we launch educates, engages, and retains credit union members—and passes our standard proofing and QA process. -

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Strong experience with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JS)

Familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot and other CMS platforms

Understanding of technical SEO and Google Core Web Vitals

Experience implementing ADA/WCAG 2.2 compliance

Familiarity with Git, version control, and deployment workflows

Knowledge of credit union space is a plus

Ability to lead, mentor, and work independently as needed.

Currently, no. We are a boutique marketing firm with a niche in mission-focused credit unions seeking to improve their communities. While there are plenty of community banks and institutions doing great work, our focus is on the over 4,500 credit unions that exist.
Keep an open mind and don’t be afraid to ask a question! It’s easy to make a mistake in any position, but those mistakes can be avoided when you take the time to ask the necessary questions. And when a mistake is made at YMC, we welcome the chance to learn from it.
