privacy policy
It is Your Marketing Co.'s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website and delivering our services. Please review our privacy policy outlined below at your convenience.
Effective Date: August 1, 2026 Last Updated: August 1, 2026
Your Privacy Is Critically Important To Us
Your Marketing Co. is a marketing agency headquartered in Easley, South Carolina, serving credit unions nationwide. This Privacy Policy applies to https://yourmarketing.co (hereinafter referred to as "us," "we," "our," "YMC," or the "Website"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you may provide to us.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. It applies to information we collect through the Website and to information we collect through other business interactions — including inquiries, proposals, events, speaking engagements, and marketing communications.
This Policy does not cover information we process on behalf of our clients. When a credit union or other client engages us to deliver marketing services, we may handle information belonging to that client and its members. In those engagements we act as a service provider under a written agreement, and that information is governed by our client's privacy notice. See "Information We Handle For Our Clients" below.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, Your Marketing Co. collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as browser type, language preference, referring site, operating system, device type, and the date and time of each visitor request.
Our purpose in collecting this information is to better understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate — for example, by publishing a report on trends in website usage.
We also collect potentially personally-identifying information such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and unique cookie identifiers assigned to your browser. We disclose this information only under the circumstances described in this Policy.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors choose to interact with Your Marketing Co. in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. Examples include:
- Blog and newsletter subscriptions — name and email address
- Contact and proposal requests — name, business email, phone number, credit union or company name, job title, and the content of your message
- Event, webinar, and speaking registrations — registration details and attendance records
- Client engagements — contract, billing, and remittance information. Payment card details are handled by our payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
- Job applications — résumé, cover letter, work history, and references
- Downloads and gated content — the contact details you submit to access a resource
We may also receive business contact information from public sources, industry directories, conference organizers, referral partners, and business data providers.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information — such as government identifiers, precise geolocation, health information, or financial account credentials — from website visitors.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve our Website
- Respond to inquiries, proposal requests, and support questions
- Prepare, negotiate, and perform client engagements
- Send our blog, newsletter, industry insights, and event invitations where permitted
- Host and administer webinars, workshops, and speaking engagements
- Measure and optimize our own marketing and advertising performance
- Process payments and maintain accounting records
- Evaluate job applications
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's device and that the visitor's browser provides back to the website on each return visit. Your Marketing Co. uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to identify and track visitors, understand how our site is used, remember your preferences, and deliver relevant advertising.
We use the following categories:
| Category | Purpose | Can you disable it? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, load balancing, form submission, core site functionality | No — required for the site to work |
| Analytics and performance | Understanding how visitors use the site | Yes |
| Functional | Remembering your preferences and settings | Yes |
| Advertising and targeting | Measuring campaigns and delivering relevant ads, including on third-party platforms | Yes |
You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie preference tool [insert link to consent banner / preference center] or through your browser settings. Bear in mind that certain features of our Website may not function properly without cookies.
Global Privacy Control and Universal Opt-Out Signals
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other recognized universal opt-out preference signals. When we detect such a signal from your browser or device, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, and targeted advertising, as applicable to your jurisdiction.
Because these signals are browser- and device-specific, you will need to enable them on each browser and device you use.
Do Not Track
Because no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals has been finalized, our Website does not currently respond to DNT headers. We do respond to Global Privacy Control as described above.
Advertising and Remarketing
Your Marketing Co. uses Google Ads and other advertising platforms for remarketing — advertising on third-party websites to people who have previously visited our site. This means we may advertise to previous visitors who did not complete an action on our site, such as submitting a contact form. These ads may appear on Google search results pages or on sites within the Google Display Network.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a person's past visits to our Website. Any data we collect is used in accordance with this Privacy Policy and, where applicable, Google's privacy policy.
You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you through the Google Ad Settings page, opt out of interest-based advertising through your cookie settings, or install a browser opt-out plugin.
"Sale," "Sharing," and Targeted Advertising
Certain U.S. state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include the use of advertising and analytics technologies that transmit identifiers to third parties. Under those definitions, our use of remarketing and advertising technologies may constitute a sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, and targeted advertising, with respect to internet activity and device identifiers.
We do not sell personal information for money.
You may opt out at any time by:
- Using our cookie preference tool [insert link]
- Enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser
- Emailing digital@yourmarketingco.com with the subject line "Opt Out"
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.
Aggregated Statistics
Your Marketing Co. may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to our Website. We may display this information publicly or provide it to others; we do not disclose your personally-identifying information as part of it.
Who We Share Information With
We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers — website hosting and CMS (HubSpot), email delivery, CRM and marketing automation, analytics, cloud storage, payment processing, event platforms, and professional advisors. These parties are contractually restricted to processing information for our documented purposes.
- Advertising and analytics partners — for campaign measurement and delivery, as described above.
- Clients and partners — where you have engaged with a co-hosted event, co-branded content, or joint offering.
- Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
- Legal and safety — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Your Marketing Co., our clients, or others.
Information We Handle For Our Clients
Most of our clients are credit unions. In delivering marketing services, we may be given access to information subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the FTC Safeguards Rule, including nonpublic personal information about our clients' members.
When we handle that information:
- We act solely on our client's documented instructions, under a written services agreement
- We do not use that information for our own marketing purposes
- We do not sell or share it
- We maintain safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity
- We return or securely dispose of it at the conclusion of the engagement, unless retention is legally required
If you are a member of one of our client credit unions and have questions about your information, please contact your credit union directly. We will refer such requests to the responsible client and support them in responding.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, and thereafter as required for legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
| Category | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Website analytics and cookie data | Up to 26 months, or the period set in the relevant platform |
| Blog, newsletter, and marketing subscribers | Until you unsubscribe, plus a permanent suppression record so we can honor your opt-out |
| Prospect and inquiry records | Up to 3 years after last meaningful contact |
| Client contracts and billing records | 7 years after the engagement ends, consistent with tax and audit requirements |
| Job applicant materials | Up to 2 years after application, unless you ask us to delete sooner |
Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including access controls, encryption in transit, multi-factor authentication on internal systems, vendor due diligence, and employee training.
Data Breach Notification
Your Marketing Co. is headquartered in South Carolina and conducts business in the state. In the event of a breach of the security of our systems involving personal identifying information, we will notify affected individuals in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with the requirements of S.C. Code § 39-1-90 and any other applicable state breach notification law, and consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and our efforts to determine the scope of the incident and restore system integrity.
Where we maintain personal identifying information that we do not own — including information belonging to our credit union clients and their members — we will notify the owner or licensee of that information immediately upon discovering a breach, so that the owner can meet its own notification obligations.
