Q: Can you help us set up a Facebook page?
A: We sure can! That is, if you’re a client on a retainer.
Q: What will our return be if we hire the YMC team?
A: How much does a house cost? That’s a hard question to answer, but a lot of your success is based on the effort that your team puts forth to convert the inquiries that our marketing brings you, into business. We can bring people to your door, your phone, and your website but it’s up to you to do the rest.
Q: Can you design a Yellow Pages ad for us?
A: What are Yellow Pages?
Q: Will you give us a marketing plan before we sign a contract?
A: Would you give a loan to someone before they sign the papers? Of course not! Out of respect for our existing and paying clients we prefer to not use the time that they are paying for recruiting new business for us. If you become a client, we know you’ll appreciate that!
Q: What does the retainer include?
A: Our time. Think of the relationship you would have with a salaried employee. They wouldn’t bill you for a phone call or a meeting, right? Neither do we. We would rather spend our time in a “think and drink” coming up with great ideas for you, than nickel and diming you.
Q: Wait, what’s a Think and Drink?
A: Every Friday afternoon, the entire YMC team comes together to discuss challenges and opportunities our clients face, and think about creative solutions to those opportunities. Drinks vary from sparkling water, to wine, to soda (or pop, depending on where you’re from) to local craft beers. This is where great ideas are born.
Q: How can I join the YMC team?
A: We typically take you to a sweat lodge and then walk you over hot coals. If you make it through that first interview… Seriously, we’re always looking for individuals who share our passion for helping people. Marketing experts, graphic designers, copywriters, social strategists… if you think your area of expertise could benefit our clients and you could fit our culture, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: How can I become a client of YMC?
A: We’ll walk you through an interview process, similar to an awkward blind date to make sure that we’re a good fit for you, and that you’re a good fit for us. We won’t take a check from just anyone. If you’re passionate about your brand, open to change, and looking for great ideas to propel growth, let’s talk! Email email@example.com. FYI: If you put “free wine” in the subject line you’ll get an answer almost immediately!
